Fifth POLIS EU Workshop

This EU workshop will bring a number of EC officers together with representatives of European interest groups. The purpose is to present the POLIS decision support system and to discuss the findings on accessibility and universal design policies. This workshop should contribute to the definition of the POLIS white paper for policy action as regards building accessibility.

This UK workshop will disseminate the findings from the POLIS project to key UK policy makers, regulators, designers and building managers. The day before a joint POLIS expert meeting (on invitation only) is organised by BRE.

The objective of this workshop is to give you information on the POLIS DSS methodology and to discuss it in order to optimize it. BRE Scotland Universal Accessibility Auditing Programme

BRE Scotland is presenting a programme of 5-day courses with the aim of providing delegates with the basic skills to undertake Accessibility Audits of existing and proposed buildings and their environment by combining current knowledge of the technical, legislative and social environments with the principles of Universal Design and Universal Accessibility. Second International OSSATE Workshop on Accessible Tourism

The Hellenic Ministry of Tourism and the OSSATE Team are pleased to invite you to take part in the 2nd International OSSATE Workshop on "Accessible Tourism", to be held in Athens, Greece on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September 2005. The Workshop is organised as part of the OSSATE "One-Stop-Shop for Accessible Tourism in Europe" initiative, which is supported by the European Commission's eContent Programme. This initiative will create a pan-European digital information service which informs customers about the accessibility of tourist destinations and venues. Assistive Technology from Virtuality to Reality - 8th AAATE Conference

The Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) is organising its 8th conference in Lille, France, in 2005. This biannual conference is an opportunity for people to discuss new developments, trends and research in the field of assistive technology. Following successful conferences held in Ireland, Slovenia, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Sweden and Netherlands, over 200 papers were selected and published at the last AAATE conference in 2003.
